There's that great listing of 3rd-party modules at the phpWebsite Mainsite. What I haven't found until now is a list of all 3rd-party hacks.

I know, that it is quite big a task to list them all, but I'll do a start. Please add other ones you know about as a comment so we can have a full listing eventually!

Blockmaker

Assign categories to blocks
The blocks only show up if one or more of the categories of the block match with one or more categories of the current module-element. Currently the following modules are supported: Pagemaster, Linkmanager, Announcements, FAQ, Phatform, Photoalbum, Article and Documents. Works for 0.9.3-2 until 0.10.0

This hack lets your users filter the calendar regarding the categories of the events.

Pagemaster

Access Control / Security
There was a hack for the 0.9x series of phpWebSite which enabled you to tell, who would be able to edit / view pages. The restrictions can be set on a per-user as well as a per-group basis. I don't know the original author. Tony Oosterhoff adapted it for phpwebsite 0.10

Menu Maker

Add categories to menus
This hack works with a lot of modules (Pagemaster, Linkmanager, Announcements, FAQ, Phatform, Photoalbum, Article and Documents). If a categorized element of one of these modules is displayed, the corresponding categorized menus are shown. If no category is displayed, only the uncategorized menus are shown.

    Tony has updated the pagemaster restriction hack. He's also created a special menuman hack to persist a menu across an entire site regardles of what module or category is active.

            Well, I updated the pagemaster-security hack to work with 0.10.0. And I added a functionality to the blockmaker and menuman category hack to always display a block or menu. I first posted the code for this on phpwsforums for trf because he asked for it, but now its in the new version of both hacks.
            But you have all three hacks already.
            I think it's time to make a module for something, instead of hacking around. Maybe a Whatsnew.

    Shouldn't your swallow hack be part of this list?
    And what about the tab-hack for bulletin board?
    They are referenced to here and there, so why not make them easy to find?

    I see another comment point out "why not make a module".

    BETTER YET, Why doesn't Mr.one-man band over there simply add these options to the damned release!??!

    I mean cmon now we've got 15 some websites DEVOTED to EDITING HIS CODE to DO THE SAME GODDAM THINGS.

    Someone that lives near the devs go TP thier house until they add these edits as options. Sick and tired of cutting and pasting crap for the past year, I want a working website goddamit.

      What exactly would be my motivation to do that? You know my email-address, it's a paypal account as well. Maybe a little donation can help? Maybe not.

      I got things to do, my hacks don't get accepted by the core team and I don't see the point of giving away yet another amount of hours for free. I'm not motivated. Change it.

        Your hacks don't get in because they either break functionality or you use complex sql statements that break cross DB working instead of using the core sql functions.

          That's a valid formal aspect. I'll invite everyone interested in it in making them inclusion-conformant. They work for me, I move on to new stuff. That's the way I do things.
