Yahoo Pipes ist a nice, visual tool to create streams of data. You can fetch data from various sources, including web pages, rss feeds and csv files, modify / transform that data and output it in various formats. Including rss, csv, php serialized as well as "badges" (JavaScript to put on your homepage).
